# About IOWIS

## Our approach to AI

At IOWIS, we see AI as part of a company's infrastructure. This shapes how we assess a solution: a service can reduce the workload and still be the wrong choice if it is unclear where data flows, how the service is secured or what dependencies it creates on a provider.

Even a GDPR-compliant system can be poorly secured. Whether data is actually protected depends on the technical implementation and how the system is operated.

Companies should be able to identify and assess the technical and commercial dependencies they take on. This becomes particularly important when software is used for core business processes or has access to confidential information. Traceable data flows, technical security and a deliberate approach to dependencies guide the development of our platform and IOWIS.
